On Lake Como, the water caresses the shore with the slowness of a loving gesture, reflecting light and shadows like liquid velvet. In Lezzeno, the Filario Hotel & Residences seems to bend time to a slower rhythm: every breath is filled with golden light, every glance is lost between the deep blue of the lake and the intense green of the mountains. Born from an initiative by Como-based Nessi & Majocchi, the vision of Alessandro Sironi and the aesthetic sensibility of Alessandro Agrati (founder of Culti Milano), Filario is the realization of a dream: to create an exclusive place where contemporary design intertwines with the authenticity of Lake Como. A destination that becomes more than just a hotel: a refuge where every detail speaks of the beauty and culture of the area in a profound dialogue with the surrounding nature. Essential architectural lines, large windows, and a palette that recalls the tones of water and stone. Here, design is no longer a simple frame but becomes an integral part of a charming hospitality that combines comfort, discretion, and an authentic connection with the landscape.
The restaurant
In this wonderful hotel, suspended between sky and lake, stands the Filo restaurant, which is not just a place to dine, but a meeting of desires: flavors that caress the palate and the scent of nature that becomes a presence. At sunset, on the terrace, the line between pleasure and contemplation dissolves: a sip, a glance, and the lake becomes a mirror of secret emotions. At the helm of the kitchen, chef Alessandro Parisi creates a precise and emotional gastronomic narrative of Italy, capable of intertwining creative freshness and passion with a gaze always projected beyond the horizon. At his side is a young team that has the same light in their eyes as their mentor. The kitchen embraces the dining room, expertly led by Oleh Pasieka, and the dining room reciprocates, supporting the kitchen in a constant dialogue. It is a virtuous example of what a gastronomic experience should be, or at least how it is experienced by those seeking emotion and authenticity.

The tasting
Carefully selected ingredients and seasonal products interpreted with skill and lightness are paraded across the table in a menu that alternates iconic dishes with seasonal creations. One of the dishes that will undoubtedly remain etched in your emotional taste memory is the Risone with Mediterranean blue lobster, basil, and coffee, a dish that speaks of the sea with a clear and profound voice. Here, the sweetness of the blue lobster meets the green freshness of basil, while the coffee, discreet but present, amplifies the contours with an aromatic shadow, like an unexpected accent in a love phrase. A bite that alternates between caress and vibration, balancing flavor, aroma, and surprise. Next, a treat for the senses, the amberjack, pearl eggplant, and black garlic. The firm, shiny flesh of the fish pairs perfectly with the subtle, almost confidential sweetness of the pearl eggplant. The soft and balsamic black garlic cream envelops the palate with a warm and lingering depth. It is a dish that smells of the Mediterranean summer, where the sun seems to have left a sweet mark on every ingredient. Last but not least, the creation of Viola Feretti, pastry chef, Bread, butter and “jam”. A simple gesture transformed into a ritual: fragrant bread with a soft center and golden crust meets velvety butter and a “marmalade” that plays with memory and curiosity. It is childhood returning, but dressed up for a party; a bite that warms, comforts, and surprises, like a caress given when you least expect it. To make everything even more special, there are the splendid wines selected by beverage manager Luciano Gusmeroli. And the cocktails are no less impressive. Here, contemporary mixology meets local botanical influences. Signature drinks and reinterpretations of the great classics accompany the sunset over the lake, in an atmosphere that combines conviviality and refinement.

The hotel
Filario hotel is a rare gem, combining proximity to the main attractions with seclusion from the crowds. The private beach and harbor, also accessible to non-guests and equipped with charging stations for electric boats, invite you to experience the lake in a direct and sustainable way. The 13 suites and 24 private residences (built with wood and Lombard stone, illuminated by large windows) offer comfort and breathtaking views. Here, every space is designed to blend harmoniously with the landscape, going beyond the simple idea of a stay to become an experience. Yes, because Filario is not just a hotel with a restaurant, but a microcosm where hospitality, gastronomy, and landscape come together in a unique story: an invitation to slow down, observe, and savor, from the first light of morning to the last taste of a cocktail under the stars.
