Carlo Cracco will manage the entire food & beverage offering at Corinthia Rome, a luxury hotel opening at the end of February 2026 in the former headquarters of the Bank of Italy in Piazza del Parlamento, in the Campo Marzio district. The assignment marks the chef's first structured project in the capital and one of the central pieces of the strategy with which the Maltese hotel group is making its debut in Italy. Cracco's involvement does not concern a single restaurant, but the hotel's overall gastronomic identity, developed together with Executive Chef Alessandro Buffolino. The offering will be divided into three distinct spaces, designed to cover different times of the day and different audiences. Ocra will be the hotel bar, offering drinks and light dishes; Viride will be the signature restaurant, built around contemporary Italian cuisine; while Piazzetta, overlooking the inner courtyard, will offer traditional Roman cuisine available throughout the day.

The operation is part of a high-end hospitality project that aims to combine historical heritage with contemporary design. The building, designed in 1914 by architect Marcello Piacentini and restored after its acquisition by the Reuben Brothers group, retains original features such as marble, frescoes, and carved wood, now integrated into an architectural project curated by G.A. Design. The building covers approximately 9,700 square meters spread over seven floors and will house 60 rooms, including 21 suites, with interiors designed to combine historical memory and contemporary craftsmanship.

In addition to dining, the hotel will include a spa built in the historic bank vault, with treatment rooms, a plunge pool, and wellness programs developed in collaboration with international brands in the sector. The stated goal of the project is to position Corinthia Rome not only as a destination for international travelers, but also as a space open to the city, in a Roman context that has been undergoing a major renewal in the luxury hotel sector in recent years.

In this context, Cracco's presence takes on strategic importance: the chef is not signing up to an isolated restaurant, but is helping to build a gastronomic platform integrated into the hotel experience, with the ambition of making the culinary offering one of the main attractions of the project. For Corinthia, the collaboration represents a way to root the brand in the Italian context through a recognizable and authoritative figure in contemporary dining. For Cracco, on the other hand, entering the capital marks an expansion of his presence in the dialogue between haute cuisine, international hospitality, and new urban formats.
