Thoughtful communication can sometimes make all the difference: that's the case with Dee Pizza, a bakery and pizzeria whose social initiatives are even more popular than the food!
The News
More than 700,000 followers on TikTok, videos that regularly get more than a million views and 100,000 subscribers surpassed on YouTube, enough to earn the famous recognition plaque: these are the numbers of Dee Pizza, located in Llangollen (in Denbighshire), which has chosen to focus on communication to win customers (succeeding rather well, judging by the results).

The case is noteworthy, BBC explains, because the sign opened in 2017, but the staff noticed a “huge increase in bookings” after setting up a social media account just last year. “A friend of mine works for us full time. He is our marketing manager, a really important part of what we do, “ explains owner Angel Angelov. Behind the constant churning is then a serial production of videos, including those dedicated to the “first one is free” initiative , where the first customer of the day is offered a meal. The promotion has become so popular on TikTok that it is not uncommon for people to line up outside before opening, or face 2-hour trips to their destination, hoping in their hearts to cross the finish line. “People are willing to travel from Edinburgh,” Angel confirms. “Or one gentleman came from Birmingham. He put his children to bed and drove two hours just to eat a pizza."

But then, does social or product matter more? According to the owner, pizza is still the secret to success. In fact, tobbng with melted cheese and spicy tomato sauce are frequently praised in online reviews, as are the other foods in trend (burgers, wraps stuffed with fresh vegetables, and tempting potato chips). Of course, TikTok helps...who could deny it?
