Renowned German designer Philipp Plein strikes again by opening La Jungle De Plein in Milan, a vegan bistro combining classy décor and plant-based cuisine. The cozy yet carefully designed restaurant is specially designed for the most discerning palates: here, in fact, you can enjoy a sought-after 100% green meal.
The News
Philipp Plein is the personification of out-of-the-box aesthetics: theGerman entrepreneur who makes people talk about him is known for his exuberant personality. Bold, he is in no way afraid to go over the top, but cheekily he is always ready to amaze his vast audience through an explosive mix of glitz and ambition.
This is how he continues to build his glittering empire: amid fiery catwalks, skulls, studs, Swarovski crystals and twists. Founder of the Plein Group, which encompasses brands such as Philipp Plein, Plein Sport and Billionaire, he presents the very latest, La Jungle De Plein at The Plein Hotel in Milan.
This ppscale vegan bistro, presents a singular design: pink and green predominate inside, two related colors, the former evoking calm, the latter nature and vitality. Floral decorations complement the relaxed atmosphere, ideal for anyone looking for a place to stay, whether for breakfast, brunch or a corporate dinner.
The menu definitely lives up to the hype, ultra-sophisticated dishes that are no match for the culinary offerings of the fashion capital. Home-made tagliatelle with San Marzano tomato sauce, the porcini mushroom and black truffle pizza, or the Dirty Burger, made with vegan cheddar, lettuce and extra crispy fries.
"We want to show that plant-based cooking is not only sustainable, but also tasty and aesthetically satisfying. The ingredients used are organic and regional, ecologically friendly and conscious, as are the operational processes," states the designer, as reported in Rolling Pin.
Behind the facade lies a sharp businessman, capable of turning any project into a great success. To many, he is just a provocateur, but one thing is certain: when Plein puts his stamp on it, there is never room for banality.
