On September 15th, London's Atelier Robuchon, closed since 2019, will reopen, joining the group of locations in Hong Kong, Miami, Taipei, Las Vegas, and Geneva, maintaining its high standards thanks to the collaboration between Chef Andrea Cofini and group executive David Alves. The menu will feature the signature dishes of the late master chef, who passed away in 2018.
The news
There is still a craving for Joël Robuchon: the great French chef, the most awarded chef of all time with 31 Michelin stars across 3 continents, left us 5 years ago, yet his name continues to dominate the global culinary scene. The reopening of Atelier in London's Mayfair, closed in 2019, is making headlines these days, and it will become part of the group that already includes similar establishments in Hong Kong, Miami, Taipei, Las Vegas, and Geneva.
Leading the revival will be Chef Andrea Cofini, who entered the Robuchon universe in 2014 at the Michelin-starred Atelier in Paris and then at the one in Shanghai, with the same accolades. He has already begun collaborating with group executive David Alves to ensure that this establishment also meets the shared standards.
On the menu, you'll find classics from the renowned chef, such as the famous mashed potatoes, sea bream carpaccio with lemon and chives, and quail with foie gras, all prepared using the original recipes. But there will also be a cheese cart, featuring a rotating selection of French and Italian cheeses, and a dessert cart, including freshly baked madeleines and other French classics.
You'll enter the restaurant's dining room from the bar for aperitifs dominated by red and black tones, with 74 covers; on the left, the marble counter with chefs at work. Service will be continuous, from long lunches to after-dinner with live music until midnight. As expected, the wine list will be predominantly French, with 40 Champagnes by the glass and Pétrus available by the glass.
