Leonardo Fiorenzani and Michela Bigio are bringing their Sosta del Cavaliere to Siena, at Via Rinaldini 1, just steps from Piazza del Campo and the heart of the city famous for the Palio. The new restaurant opens its doors on Friday, 6 November 2026. Intimate and welcoming, it marks the natural next step in a journey shaped by fourteen years of work in Torri, while creating a new meeting point between Fiorenzani’s cooking and both local and international diners.

“Siena is home, Siena is life. We are people of the contrada,” say Leonardo and Michela. “We are bringing our identity to the city, and Sosta del Cavaliere remains true to itself. Our culinary philosophy and the experience we offer our guests are unchanged, but the time had come to return home!”
With just 18 seats, the new space has been conceived as a place where dining and beauty go hand in hand. It will showcase a rotating selection of artworks by local artists and galleries, helping to create an intimate atmosphere where every detail is carefully considered and the gastronomic experience is complemented by a visual one.
Fiorenzani’s cooking remains true to its roots, with a continued focus on the quality of local ingredients and meticulous attention to presentation. “Mine is a cuisine rooted in identity, shaped over time,” the chef explains. “The key is to work with the finest ingredients from the territory we call home, interpreting them through an international approach to technique and culinary thinking.”

As a testament to their close connection with the land, some of the restaurant’s fresh produce will continue to come from their own small kitchen garden, particularly the aromatic herbs used in non-alcoholic pairings and to enhance the dishes. By the chef’s side in running the restaurant is his wife, Michela Bigio, maître d’ and sommelier, who has been the driving force behind the project alongside him. Together, they built a loyal following in Torri, and are now bringing their vision to one of Italy’s most visited cities.
