Twenty years of Mirazur: the friendship between Mauro Colagreco and Ferran Adrià marks a historic anniversary.
2026 will mark a milestone for international haute cuisine: Mirazur in Menton will celebrate its twentieth anniversary. To mark this occasion, Italian-Argentinian chef Mauro Colagreco has chosen not simply to look back on the past, but to team up with living legend Ferran Adrià in an unprecedented cultural and gastronomic venture. From April 1 to May 3, 2026, the three Michelin-starred restaurant on the French Riviera will host an experience curated by the founder of elBulli. This will not be a simple four-handed collaboration, but rather a “gastronomic curation” project: Adrià has analyzed two decades of Colagreco's creativity to distill it into a unique, one-of-a-kind commemorative menu.

A journey through memory and permaculture
The proposed itinerary will be a chronological and conceptual analysis of the Mirazur parable. From its first steps in 2006 to its triumph in 2019—the year Colagreco simultaneously earned three stars and topped the World's 50 Best Restaurants list—the menu will retrace the evolution of techniques, ingredients, and the philosophy of radical sustainability that today finds its lifeblood in the restaurant's five hectares of permaculture gardens. “After being number one, the fear of silence sets in,” Colagreco confessed, as reported by La Vanguardia, emphasizing how this celebration comes at a time of deep inner reflection and creative ferment. The encounter with Adrià is not only professional but deeply human: the Catalan maestro participated in the project in a totally altruistic way, sealing a bond based on mutual respect and passion.

The experience: details and solidarity
The anniversary menu will cost €530 per person, with a choice of different wine pairings (ranging from €350 to €950). In keeping with the spirit of the initiative, guests will be invited to support the elBullifoundation, Adrià's organization dedicated to research and training, to nurture the talent of new generations of chefs. Although Adrià will not be present in the dining room every day, his influence will be tangible in every course, transforming the meal into a dialogue between the great French tradition and the avant-garde that has rewritten the history of modern cuisine.

Colagreco's future between Italy and the world
The anniversary is just the prelude to a year of global expansion for Colagreco. In fact, 2026 will see the opening of four new restaurants, with particular anticipation for his debut in Italy. The chef will open a signature restaurant inside the Edition Hotel on Lake Como, finally bringing his vision “across the border” to one of the most evocative settings in the Bel Paese. In an era of rapid and fleeting success, Mirazur chooses to celebrate longevity, proving that after twenty years, “silence” is still far from falling on Menton.
