After three years, chef Dani García reveals the bizarre demands of former Spice Girl Victoria Beckham, who, during a wedding, refused to consume the dishes designed for the event. Here's what she asked for instead of his MICHELIN-Starred menu.

The news

Michelin-Starred chef Dani García, considered by many to be the "wizard of Andalusian creative cuisine," after three years, lashed out during an interview on the TV program "El Hormiguero," expressing his disappointment and resentment at having to overturn an entire menu due to the demands of former Spice Girl Victoria Beckham.

García designed a coveted menu to delight the palates of soccer player Sergio Ramos’ (a friend of Mr. Beckham) wedding to Pilar Rubio. But it did not meet Mrs. Beckham's rather bizarre dietary requirements. "She demanded only a plate of vegetables, coconut water and mint candy." Dani García explained nothing else and added, "A real shame since I, all the staff and the bride and groom worked long and hard to create something unique and out of the ordinary."

It is well known that the former Spice Girl has a particular diet. She has repeatedly described herself as "the worst nightmare for restaurants. I love to eat steamed vegetables, which I season at the moment, by myself, with balsamic vinegar. I know I may sound boring when it comes to food, but I love savory whole-grain toast. It's those carbs that make me feel good."

Beckham revealed that even Gordon Ramsay, a friend of the couple, struggles to understand her restrictive diet. "Gordon, a very close friend of ours, confirmed that he has never seen anyone have as strict a discipline as I do when it comes to food." Also confirming this are statements from her husband, David, who revealed that Victoria has never changed her dietary regimen in the past 25 years. So not even Dani García's talent, flair, and stars have been able to sway the former Posh Spice.
