Daniele Zazzeri is the chef and co-owner of the Michelin-starred restaurant La Pineta in Marina di Bibbona. Raised in a family of fishermen and restaurateurs, Daniele continues his father Luciano's legacy of combining traditional Tuscan cuisine with the freshness of the local catch.
La Pineta restaurant has deep roots dating back to 1964, when the Zazzeri family decided to open a small beach and restaurant on the Tuscan coast. Luciano Zazzeri, Daniele's father, started out as a fisherman before taking over the reins of the family kitchen in 1996, transforming the restaurant into one of the region's finest seafood establishments.
After Luciano's tragic death in 2019, Daniele and his brother Andrea continued to run the restaurant, maintaining the same quality and respect for raw materials that characterized their father's cooking. Located on the beach in Marina di Bibbona, La Pineta stands out for its attention to detail and respect for local produce, serving fresh fish that comes directly from the family's boats.
One of the restaurant's signature dishes is cacciucco, a traditional fish soup from Livorno, which Daniele reinterprets with a balance between modernity and respect for the original recipe. Daniele's culinary philosophy is based on a few simple ingredients, masterfully prepared to bring out the authentic flavors without ever altering the essence of the sea.
