Sara Scarsella was born in 1992 in Rome. After graduating from Alma, she gained experience working in some of the world's best restaurants, including Caino in Montemerano, Noma and Geranium in Denmark, and various establishments in Australia. These experiences allowed her to develop a cuisine rich in international influences and advanced techniques, while always respecting her Italian roots.
In March 2020, Sara, her partner Matteo Compagnucci, and Carla Scarsella opened Sintesi in Ariccia. The name of the restaurant reflects Sara's culinary philosophy: to synthesize the experiences and techniques learned abroad with local flavors and products. Their cuisine is distinguished by the use of fresh, seasonal ingredients, many sourced from their personal garden, and a strong focus on sustainability.
