Luigi Taglienti has earned Michelin stars at various European restaurants, accumulating stars and opening two highly successful establishments: "Lume" in Milan and "Io - Luigi Taglienti," a new opening in 2022.
Born in 1979, Chef Luigi Taglienti began his culinary career at a young age, leaving his home in Liguria, driven by the passion for gastronomy passed down to him by his grandmother.
He started his journey at the "Antica Osteria del Ponte" in Cassinetta di Lugagnano, where he worked alongside Ezio Santin. Later, he moved to France, working at "Le Palme D'Or" in Cannes. In 2005, upon returning to his homeland, he worked at the "La Meridiana Hotel & Golf Resort" in Garlenda.
In 2007, he joined Chef Giorgio Chiesa at "Delle Antiche Contrade" in Cuneo, where he earned his first MICHELIN Star. From 2012 to 2014, he gained culinary acclaim with the "Trussardi" restaurant at La Scala in Milan, which was also awarded a MICHELIN Star.
In 2016, Taglienti opened the restaurant "Lume" in Milan, and the following year, he was honored with the prestigious MICHELIN Star. While maintaining his executive role, during the summer of 2021, the chef worked alongside Executive Chef Corrado Corti at the "La Terrazza" restaurant at the "Hotel Splendido di Portofino."
The latest milestone in his career is the opening of his restaurant "Io - Luigi Taglienti" in Piacenza in 2022.
