Born in Verona, Agnese Morandi is one of Italy's new generation sommeliers in the wine industry. The Biography

Agnese Morandi was born and raised in Verona, within a family passionate about viticulture. After completing her studies in oenology at the University of Verona, she decided to pursue a professional career as a sommelier, earning her diploma from the Italian Sommelier Association (AIS).

Her career began in some of Verona's most prestigious restaurants, where she quickly gained a reputation for her ability to recommend the perfect wines to complement dishes, enhancing the overall gastronomic experience. After three years at Piazza Duomo, followed by internships at Maison Pic and La Dame de Pic, she continued her career in Paris at Clarence, eventually reaching her current position at Table by Bruno Verjus, which holds two Michelin stars.

Her commitment to excellence and passion for wine have earned her numerous awards, including the prestigious title of "Best Sommelier of Italy" in 2015 and in 2024 the Berlucchi Best Sommelier award. Agnese is known for her philosophy of valuing indigenous Italian grape varieties, promoting wines that reflect local terroir and culture. Her expertise also extends to sustainability, a topic she holds dear, as she firmly believes in the necessity of environmentally respectful viticultural practices to ensure the quality and longevity of wine.

In addition to her restaurant work, Agnese Morandi is a dedicated educator. She has conducted numerous courses and seminars on oenology, contributing to the training of new generations of sommeliers. Her classes are renowned for their practical approach and ability to convey complex knowledge in an accessible and engaging manner.
