Passionate about wine and dedicated to his work, Filippo Billi is the co-owner of "Osteria Billis" in Tortona, where he wonderfully performs the role of maître alongside his twin, Alessandro, who is in the kitchen.
Born in 1990 in Tortona, in the province of Alessandria, Filippo Billi studied at the University of Architecture in Venice, but spent his free time roaming around restaurants, observing the décor, the elegance, and how to interact with a customer.
Captivated, he decided to follow his instinct and began working, initially as a dining room commis, then in a bar, and later in restaurants, including “Grand’Italia” in Milan, where he became the manager. He then served as maître at the "Osteria del Binari" and was a chef de rang in the kitchen of "Ristorante Berton." Thus, for thirteen years, he learned and accumulated experience, both in the dining room and kitchen.
In 2019, Filippo, along with his brother, opened "Osteria Billis" in Tortona. The restaurant, where simplicity, refined taste, and symmetry prevail, was awarded the Special Tci Award 2021 - Vinea Domini, by the Guide to Hotels and Restaurants of Italy by Touring Club Italiano. Filippo also participated in the 2020 edition of the Merano Wine Festival.
