Maria Trombino is maître d’ of Il Palmento di Feudi, the gastronomic heart of the Feudi del Pisciotto wine relais, set among vineyards near Caltagirone. With precise, guest-focused service, she pairs dishes with the estate’s wine selection.
Born in 1993 in Sicily, Maria Trombino left the island at twenty, after language studies, to build a career in high-level hospitality. She began her front-of-house journey in Germany, discovering a genuine vocation for service, then refined a contemporary, guest-centric style in Malta’s top properties.
Returning to Sicily with international insight, she has led Il Palmento di Feudi’s dining room for three years, where contemporary cuisine meets local tradition and the wines of Feudi del Pisciotto, Castellare di Castellina and Rocca di Frassinello, which she selects and presents to guests.
Committed to continual growth, in 2025 she earned a Master in Food and Beverage Management with honours and, having completed the first two AIS sommelier levels, is now enrolled in the third. Wine remains her daily passion, nurtured through study, tastings and dialogue with producers.
