Ida Proietti is maitre and co-founder of the Michelin-starred Zia restaurant in Rome, in the heart of Trastevere. Ida Proietti developed a passion for hospitality and catering at an early age. After graduating, she began working and honing her skills in room service and staff management. With her dedication and attention to detail, she quickly rose through the ranks.
In the course of her career, she met chef Antonio Ziantoni, with whom she formed a professional and personal partnership. Sharing the vision of creating a restaurant that combines haute cuisine with a warm approach, they opened Zia together in 2018 at 45 Via Goffredo Mameli in Trastevere. The name is a tribute to Antonio's nickname "Zia".
As maître, Ida is responsible for welcoming guests and creating the atmosphere. Her philosophy is based on offering a complete experience where every detail is taken care of to ensure maximum comfort. Her ability to create a relaxed yet formal environment has helped make the eatery a coveted destination for food lovers.
Thanks to the couple's synergistic work, the activity has won numerous awards. In 2020, received its first Michelin star. The Michelin guide also named Ziantoni "Best Young Chef" in 2021.
