Born to an Irish mother and Italian father, Patrick Pistolesi spent several summers of his childhood on the Green Island, where he developed a deep connection with whiskey. His career in the cocktail world began in Rome, where he was instrumental in spreading the culture of mixed drinks. He was the first to open a gin bar in Italy, The Gin Corner, and worked as bar manager at the historic Caffè Propaganda.
In 2018, after several trips between Europe and the United States, he opened Drink Kong, an 'instinct bar' in Rome's Monti district. The bar, inspired by a futuristic aesthetic with 80s influences and pop culture references, stands out for its innovative menu and unique atmosphere. It has quickly become a landmark in the national and international mixology scene.
Under his leadership, Drink Kong was recognised as the best cocktail bar in Italy and ranked 33rd in the World's 50 Best Bars 2024 list. His experience led him to become a brand ambassador for major spirits brands, a drinks consultant, partner and founder of NIO ready-to-drink cocktails, and a judge in international competitions. NITE KONG, the new homage to the night, focuses on champagne and classic cocktails.
