Mattia Stanchieri has embarked on a journey that has taken him from starred italian and international restaurants to opening his own restaurant, Vibe, in the heart of Lisbon. His cuisine reflects a balance between innovation and respect for his roots.
Born in Monza in 1989, Mattia Stanchieri showed a passion for cooking at an early age, starting his career at the age of 15. After graduating from the Monza Institute of Hotel Management, he honed his skills in some of Italy's most prestigious restaurants, including the Osteria del Pomiroeu (one Michelin star) and Da Vittorio (three Michelin stars).
Seeking new challenges and inspiration, he moved to the Bahamas to head the kitchen at a boutique hotel on the island of Exuma. During this time, he opened his own restaurant and catering company and was approached by celebrities such as Kanye West. However, the COVID-19 pandemic forced him to remain overseas, prompting him to unleash all of his creativity in the kitchen.
Eager to expand his skills, he sent out applications to the best in the world and received positive feedback from Geranium (three Michelin stars) in Denmark and Belcanto (two Michelin stars) in Portugal. These experiences will enrich his gastronomic background and his overall vision.
In 2024, Mattia realized his dream by opening Vibe in the Chiado district of Lisbon. The menu, which is seasonal, explores different cultures; dishes are created using only local and sustainable ingredients. This distinctive philosophy aims to tell stories through food, offering guests a unique sensory journey.
