Thibault Hauchard is now Executive Pastry Chef at Claridge’s in London. After a decade in Parisian palace hotels and three years at Alain Ducasse at The Dorchester, he took over Claridge’s ArtSpace Café in 2024, crowned La Liste’s best pastry shop in the world 2025.
A Normandy native, Hauchard earned a CAP in pastry at 16 and a second CAP in chocolate arts in Paris, spending ten years in palace kitchens—Four Seasons George V, Royal Monceau Raffles and Le Meurice—mastering classical French craft.
In 2016 he moved to London, first as sous-chef then Executive Pastry Chef at Alain Ducasse at The Dorchester, introducing customised dessert trolleys and pastry–cocktail pairings.
The game-changer came at Claridge’s: in November 2024 the Maybourne Group appointed him Executive Pastry Chef of the new ArtSpace Café and the Afternoon Tea at The Painter’s Room, where he matches peanut-butter Paris-Brest and caviar tartlets with signature cocktails.
International praise followed quickly: in June 2025 La Liste Pastry Special Awards named Claridge’s ArtSpace Café “World’s Best Pastry Shop,” citing “museum-like design and auteur pastry led by Thibault Hauchard.”
