Enrico Bartolini is a renowned chef whose talent has led him to achieve extraordinary results in the culinary world. One of his greatest accomplishments has been receiving a total of 12 MICHELIN Stars. His personal and entrepreneurial career in haute cuisine has been constantly ascending.
Enrico Bartolini was born in 1979 in Castelmartini, Tuscany. After completing his diploma at the Alberghiero Professional Institute in Montecatini Terme, Enrico gained experience by working at his uncle's trattoria in Pistoia. Later, he embarked on a journey to Paris and then London, where he had the opportunity to work in the kitchens of chefs Paolo Petrini and Mark Page. Upon his return to Italy, he furthered his training under the guidance of chef Massimiliano Alajmo.
In 2005, Enrico took over the management of "Le Robinie" restaurant in Oltrepò Pavese, which he left after five years to become the chef at "Devero Ristorante" and later at "Dodici24 Quick Restaurant" in Cavenago Brianza.
In 2010, Enrico decided to embark on a new path in Milan, opening "Ristorante Enrico Bartolini" on the third floor of MUDEC (Museum of Cultures), where he also took charge of the bar-bistro. At the same time, he also opened the "Casual Ristorante" in Bergamo, in the Città Alta, and assumed responsibility for the dining at "L'Andana," an exclusive resort in Castiglione della Pescaia, in the heart of Maremma. He managed both "La Villa" restaurant and the renamed "La Trattoria Enrico Bartolini." In September, he opened "Ristorante Glam," a new and prestigious gourmet destination on the Venetian gastronomic scene.
In November 2016, Enrico Bartolini reached the pinnacle of success in the Italian gastronomic landscape as the MICHELIN Guide awarded him a total of four stars, two in Milan, one in Bergamo, and one in Castiglione della Pescaia. This recognition is even more significant considering that the three awarded restaurants were opened almost simultaneously. In November 2017, "Ristorante Glam" in Venice received a MICHELIN Star, further confirming Enrico as one of the most important international chefs.
Bartolini has also published several culinary books, including "Pasta" in 2011 and "Classico Contemporaneo" in 2017.
The years have not slowed down his aspirations as an entrepreneur and chef. From 2018 onwards, Enrico has opened other establishments, including the two-starred "Locanda del Sant'Uffizio" in Asti, the MICHELIN-Starred "Poggio Rosso" since 2021, also awarded a Green Star for sustainability, and the MICHELIN-Starred restaurant "L'Anima" since 2022, known as "Il Fuoco Sacro," opened in Sardinia.
As of today, Enrico boasts 12 MICHELIN Stars and a Green Star for sustainability. Regarding this achievement, Enrico says, "Sustainability at Poggio Rosso also means participating in social agriculture projects, such as Orto Felice, which aims to improve the quality of life for disabled young people and promote integration through horticultural activities carried out in the fields, involving the elderly in the community. The products, truly sourced from local suppliers, take center stage in many seasonal recipes."
Enrico Bartolini's extraordinary career is the result of constant dedication and limitless commitment to his culinary art.
