Sommelier at the Four Seasons Hotel Firenze since 2010, Walter Meccia combines a passion for iconic wines with the curiosity to discover boutique producers. In 2015, he received the “Best Wine List in Italy” award from Identità Golose. Today, he is Assistant Wine Manager at the Florentine resort.
After several experiences in the hospitality sector, in 2010 Walter Meccia joined the Four Seasons Hotel Firenze, where he finally found the opportunity to fully express his passion for wine. His distinctive talent lies in the ability to celebrate great vintages and iconic names of Italian and international oenology, while also highlighting rare bottles and niche producers from among the thousands of labels available.
This refined and eclectic vision of the wine list earned him significant recognition in 2015, when Identità Golose honored him with the award for “Best Wine List in Italy.”
He is currently Assistant Wine Manager at the Four Seasons Hotel Firenze, where he continues to serve international guests with dedication and passion, standing as one of the most authoritative figures in Florence’s fine dining and luxury hospitality scene.
