Alberto Piras is a renowned sommelier. He has worked in prestigious restaurants and won the Best Sommelier of Italy ASPI 2011 competition. Overcoming a serious accident in 2012, he specialized in wine, and since 2014 he has been the head sommelier at "Il Luogo di Aimo e Nadia." Alberto is known for his expertise and impeccable style.

Born in Milan in 1986, his training path began in 2000 at the “Carlo Porta” hotel school in Milan. During his third year of studies, he decided to specialize in sommellerie, believing that a skilled dining room professional should also have knowledge of the world of wine.
He then completed a three-month internship at the “Connaught Hotel” in London, where he filled the role of a commis sommelier. It was during this period that he definitively chose his professional path, captivated by the competence and unique way his superiors interacted with customers.
Piras has gained extensive experience at renowned restaurants both in Italy and abroad.
In 2007, at the age of 19, he faced his first MICHELIN Star experience at the “Sadler” restaurant by Claudio Sadler, in Milan. Despite the challenging task, he accepted it with determination and stayed until 2009. His desire to gain experience abroad took him to the “Four Seasons” in Geneva, where he worked for a year. In 2010, driven by a constant desire to grow, he moved to Paris, to the famous restaurant “Il Vino” by Enrico Bernardo, where he had the opportunity to win the Best Sommelier of Italy ASPI 2011 competition.
In 2012, after his return to Italy, Piras became part of the dining room staff of Carlo Cracco, but unfortunately, his tenure in the brigade was brief due to a serious road accident.
Between 2013 and 2015, Alberto continued to enrich his knowledge base, attending numerous specialized courses and workshops to stay up to date on trends and innovations in the world of wine. His passion for sommellerie led him to travel to various Italian and international wine regions, exploring new wineries.
Over the years, Piras also had the opportunity to share his experience and skills with other wine enthusiasts, giving seminars and tasting lessons. He took part in major food and wine events and was a part of juries in national and international sommelier competitions, even winning the title of Best Sommelier of the Year for the 2016 Restaurant Guide by L’Espresso.
In 2014, he joined the Two MICHELIN Star restaurant "Il Luogo di Aimo e Nadia" as head sommelier, where he still dedicates his work.
