Francesco Sodano is a highly talented chef who has perfected his art in award-winning kitchens in Italy and abroad. After working at the Faro on the Amalfi Coast, he landed at the prestigious Famiglia Rana restaurant.
Born in 1988 in Somma Vesuviana, in the heart of Campania, Francesco Sodano developed a great passion for gastronomy from an early age. After taking his first steps in the industry, he honed his skills working in prestigious starred restaurants. His main mentors include top chefs such as Oliver Glowig and Anthony Genovese, who guide him in perfecting and deepening his innovative approach.
His career has been marked by international experience, including major internships in world-class kitchens such as Heston Blumenthal's Fat Duck. This training allows him to develop a contemporary vision that combines creativity and avant-garde techniques, while maintaining a strong connection with the territory and Italian traditions.
In 2022, he landed at the Michelin-starred Faro at Capo d'Orso on the Amalfi Coast. Here he is able to make a significant mark by using local raw materials and introducing techniques such as fermentation and mashing, which add depth to the flavors of his dishes.
In 2024 he was chosen as chef at the Ristorante Famiglia Rana, one of the most prestigious restaurants in the province of Verona, already a Michelin star holder, where he brings a fresh proposal through tasting menus such as "Ricomincio da tre" and "Contaminazioni", which combine asian and mediterranean flavors with local ingredients. Thanks to his focus on sustainability issues and his philosophy of "green butchery", Sodano continues to push by tickling palates.
