Walter Musco is known for combining creativity and pastry art: after a background as a gallery owner, he founded his pastry shop and cafè in Rome, distinguishing himself with creations inspired by the contemporary art world.
Before embarking on a career as a pastry chef, Walter Musco managed the Gondwana Gallery on Via Giulia, which specialized in tribal art from South America, Sub-Saharan Africa, Southeast Asia and Australian Aboriginal communities. This experience allowed him to develop a deep sensitivity for creativity.
Later, he decided to follow his passion, attending the "Professione Cuoco" course at Gambero Rosso and completing several internships under the guidance of some of the leading figures in the industry. In 2009 he opened the Pasticceria Bompiani in Rome, which was renamed Pasticceria Walter Musco in 2021.
One of his most famous initiatives is the annual exhibition "Signature Easter Eggs", in which he presents the quintessential Easter sweets inspired by a different theme each year. Such as from the great masters of contemporary art, such as Lucio Fontana, Alberto Burri and Piero Manzoni, or as in 2024 from the city of Rome. These creations are not only delicious, but also aesthetically stunning, as they reflect his training and attention to detail.
The venue is always mentioned by the industry guides, as was the case in 2025 with Gambero Rosso's Italian Pastry Guide, which awarded it the top honor of “Tre Torte".
