Born in Rome in 1986 and self-taught, Claudia Martelloni opened Charlotte Pasticceria in 2018 in the San Giovanni district of Rome. Her pastry shop quickly became a landmark of contemporary patisserie, known for its French elegance, clean aesthetics, commitment to high-quality ingredients, and a personal style that blends technical precision with creativity.

Charlotte is a 35-square-meter jewel box with an open-view kitchen, where Claudia leads a close-knit team that produces a daily selection of refined, elegant single-portion desserts. The menu evolves with the seasons and focuses on fresh, premium ingredients, all within a sustainable framework that never compromises on quality.

Her signature desserts include sculptural single-servings like the "Rosa" or the fresh cheesecake featured on Puntarella Rossa, alongside special seasonal creations—such as the Mother’s Day cakes—and an ever-changing offering. Each recipe is meticulously crafted, with refined glazing, balanced textures, and naturally derived colors.

The pastry shop has earned a place among the “Sweet Spots” in Lonely Planet Rome, was featured as one of the “Best Openings of 2018” by major food publications, and in 2023 was highlighted by Dolcesalato for its creative use of pistachio.

Charlotte’s sustainability efforts extend to compostable packaging, waste reduction strategies, and the thoughtful selection of trusted local suppliers.
