The ambitious collaboration between Niko Romito and Enilive continues: thousands of gas stations in Italy and Europe are undergoing transformation, starting from Rome and Ostia.
The News
The project, as expected, is ambitious: transforming Enilive service stations into gourmet spaces based on original and detailed entrepreneurship principles, involving world-renowned chef Niko Romito. Locales that perhaps do not deserve the trip or the detour, for format reasons, but certainly a rewarding pause beyond the needs of a pit stop.
Now, after Viale America in Rome, it's the turn of the Roman coast: on February 9th, the second ALT Stazione del Gusto opened in Ostia, at the service station in Piazzale della Posta, active since the 1960s, near the Pontile and Lungomare Paolo Toscanelli. Like its twin locales, it operates from breakfast to dinner, with a takeaway option, following the model of the first ALT, opened by Niko Romito in Castel di Sangro in 2018: a place literally for everyone, democratizing the research and creativity of a great Italian chef, at always popular prices and in an informal atmosphere.
Stefano Ballista, CEO of Enilive, naturally rejoices, announcing a series of upcoming openings on a national scale in partnership with the Accademia Niko Romito, which will take care of training and the uniformity of the offer, based on private entrepreneurial initiatives. His stations will soon be "not only places to refuel quickly, but 'mobility points' where you can find products and services useful for simplifying and enriching the lives of people on the move."
For his part, the great Abruzzese chef illustrates the gastronomic and ethical sense of the project. "ALT was born to speak - in simple gastronomic language - about quality food to as many people as possible. And for this reason, it finds its ideal location on the road, because the roads belong to everyone. ALT is stopping to eat a good dish while traveling at any time.
The stop becomes a moment of pleasure and taste to satisfy the palate and nourish oneself well. Having a variety of different dishes for different times of the day and a high intrinsic quality are indispensable elements for any consumer. From the partnership between the Niko Romito Academy and Enilive, a model of growth and development has been built that today also opens up to young entrepreneurs who want to invest in catering. ALT Stazione del Gusto has become open to everyone not only because it has an accessible and understandable offer, but also because it becomes a transversal entrepreneurial opportunity."
Let's talk about significant numbers: 5,000 outlets in Europe, over 4,000 of which are in Italy, whose restyling will soon continue in major Italian and European cities.
