cover bio Kevin Fehling

Kevin Fehling is an internationally renowned German chef known for his innovative and refined cuisine and owner of the three-Michelin-star (confirmed in 2025) restaurant The Table in Hamburg.

Born in 1977 in Delmenhorst, near Bremen, Kevin Fehling completed an apprenticeship at the Hotel Thomsen in his hometown and expanded his resume by working between Bremen and Hamburg. An important experience was aboard the luxury cruise liner MS Europa, where he worked for two years as a chef in the restaurant Venezia.

In 2003, he had the opportunity to learn under Harald Wohlfahrt at the Schwarzwaldstube in Baiersbronn. In 2005 he took over the management of La Belle Epoque in Travemünde. Under his direction, the latter was awarded its first Michelin star in 2008, its second in 2011 and its third in 2012, making Fehling one of the youngest in the industry to achieve this milestone.

In 2015, he decided to embark on a new path by going into business for himself. The Table stands out for its innovative design, featuring a single serpentine table that seats up to 20 guests, creating an intimate and interactive environment. A year after opening was awarded three Michelin stars.

Kevin's cooking is often described as "avant-garde refined," characterized by a surprising creativity in the use of flavors and textures. His ability to combine ingredients in innovative ways and his artistic presentation of dishes have cemented his reputation on the international culinary scene.
