Edip Sigl is the executive chef of ES:SENZ at Das Achental Resort in Grassau, Bavaria. Under his leadership, the restaurant has won prestigious awards, including three Michelin stars.
Born in 1985 in Hatay, Turkey, Edip Sigl grew up in Cologne, Germany. He began his training in 2002 at Gut Lärchenhof in Pulheim (one Michelin star). He went on to hone his skills at top restaurants including Hugos in Berlin and Residenz Heinz Winkler in Aschau im Chiemgau (both one Michelin star).
In 2008, he worked with chef Juan Amador at Amador in Langen (three Michelin stars). In 2012, he went on a trip around the world to enrich his cultural background. On his return in 2013, he joined the team at Les Deux in Munich, where he became head chef in 2019 and quickly earned a Michelin star, followed by a second in 2020.
In May 2021, Sigl took the helm of the ES:SENZ restaurant (the name is a play on his initials and underlines the essence of his philosophy) at the Das Achental resort in Grassau. In March 2022, he was awarded two Michelin stars and in March 2024, he topped it off with his third star.
