Giorgia Proia is a renowned italian pastry chef and co-founder of Casa Manfredi in Rome. Her training in architecture has profoundly influenced her approach to pastry, combining aesthetics and taste in creations that have won the palates of romans and beyond.
Born in 1985, after graduating in architecture, Giorgia Proia decided not to work as an architect but to join the family business of her husband, Daniele Antonelli. This experience allowed her to discover a passion that led her to train with masters of the caliber of Angelo Grasso, Giambattista Montanari, Andrea Tortora, Francesco Boccia and Gianluca Fusto.
In 2015, the couple opened Casa Manfredi on Viale Aventino in Rome. Dedicated to their son, the pastry shop immediately stood out for its focus on precious raw materials and the curated aesthetic of its products, the result of Giorgia's architectural training; it quickly became a landmark in the capital's gastronomic scene, offering a combination of italian and french pastries, artisanal ice cream and excellent coffee.
Over the years, Casa Manfredi has expanded its presence with new locations. In 2023, Casa Manfredi Teatro, a workshop and retail store located in the former Teatro dei Conciatori in the Ostiense district, and a corner inside the Luxury Hotel Anantara Palazzo Naiadi were inaugurated. These new openings allow her to continue experimenting, offering her clients a multi-sensory experience.
Her dedication has earned her several awards. Her panettone is considered one of the best in Italy. Giorgia believes in the power of teamwork and in creating a serene environment where quality and harmony are the basis for success.
