André Guidon brought true neapolitan pizza to Brazil, winning numerous international awards and helping to spread italian gastronomic culture in Latin America.
Born in Brazil to a family of italian descent, after completing his studies, André Guidon embarked on a career in the music industry, working in a recording studio. However, his passion for gastronomy led him to change direction.
In 2013, he founded Leggera Pizza Napoletana in the Perdizes neighborhood of São Paulo, with the goal of offering an authentic wagon wheel. The restaurant was certified by the Association Verace Pizza Napoletana (AVPN), certifying its compliance with traditional standards. In 2023, it opened a second location in the Jardins, expanding its presence in the city.
Guidon's philosophy is based on the use of high quality ingredients, many of them imported from Italy, and the adoption of traditional techniques, such as baking in a wood-fired oven built with cotto from Sorrento. The lightness of the dough and the care taken in the selection of the products have made the pizzeria a landmark for lovers of good food.
Over the years it has received numerous awards. In 2014 it was awarded the best emerging foreigner at the Naples Pizza Festival. In 2023 it won the fifth edition of Best AVPN Pizzeria and in 2024 Leggera was recognized as the best in Latin America by the 50 Top Pizza. It also won the 11th position in the world ranking and the special Made in Italy 2024 - Mammafiore Award. In addition to managing the business, André is involved in training the new leverage.
