Marta Boccanera founded Pasticceria Grué in Rome with her husband Felice Venanzi in 2014 and has won prestigious awards, including Gambero Rosso's "Tre Torte" and the title of Best Pastry Chef in the World by Host in 2023.

Born in Rome on September 12, 1984, Marta Boccanera initially studied mechanical engineering at the University of Rome "La Sapienza". However, her passion led her to change her path and in 2008 she enrolled in the advanced training course at the CAST Alimenti school in Brescia, where she met Felice Venanzi, her future life and work partner.

After graduating, she began her professional career at the Picchio pastry shop in Loreto, under the guidance of master Claudio Marcozzi. Later, she worked with Denis Dianin in Padua, where she refined her skills and developed her own personal style, combining tradition and innovation.

In 2014, Marta and Felice opened Grué in the Coppedè district of Rome. The restaurant quickly established itself as a landmark in the city, thanks to hers attention to raw materials and creativity in preparation. In 2017, Gambero Rosso recognized their talent by awarding them both the title of Best Emerging Pastry Chefs.

Grué won the Three Cakes in the "Pastry and Confectionery 2024" by Gambero Rosso and received the award for Best Digital Communication. In the same year, during the Host fair in Milan, they were named Best Pastry Chefs in the World, an award presented by Iginio Massari, who highlighted their dedication and contribution to excellence in the industry.
