Davide Marzullo is one of the most promising up-and-comers on the italian culinary scene. Only 27 years old, he has already earned a Michelin star at Trattoria Contemporanea thanks to his unique approach.
Davide Marzullo was born and raised in a family linked to the restaurant business and, inspired by his uncle, he decided to study to turn his passion into a career. After his initial training, he began to gain experience in some of the most prestigious kitchens in Europe, working at Hibiscus, The Connaught in London and The Market Place in Como.
His journey continued with his participation and victory in the 2019 Antonino Chef Academy television program, which opened the doors of Villa Crespi, where he worked alongside chef Antonino Cannavacciuolo. He then decided to put his creativity and vision into a project of his own, opening the Trattoria Contemporanea in Lomazzo. After only one year, the restaurant was awarded its first Michelin star in 2023, making Marzullo one of Italy's youngest starred chefs.
His approach is characterized by the use of simple ingredients from the popular tradition, reinterpreted with innovative techniques, following a philosophy that aims to give value to products that are often forgotten or undervalued. His proposal is young, fun and bold, as well as modern and inclusive: every detail is designed to offer his guests a different experience.
