Andrea Aprea is renowned for his ability to fuse memory and innovation in Italian cuisine. After training in some of the best starred restaurants, he achieved success as Executive Chef of the VUN restaurant in Milan, earning two Michelin stars. In 2022, he opened his own restaurant Andrea Aprea in the Luigi Rovati Foundation, receiving also there double macarons thanks to his unique gastronomic approach.
Andrea Aprea was born in Naples, where he developed a deep connection with traditional Italian cuisine from a young age. His brilliant career began with training in starred restaurants, both in Italy and abroad, where he refined his technique and acquired a contemporary approach to gastronomy.
In 2011, he became Executive Chef of the VUN at the Park Hyatt in Milan. Under his leadership, the restaurant was awarded its first Michelin star in 2012, marking a major milestone. Continuing to work hard, he obtained his second Michelin star in 2017 thanks to his ability to combine traditional flavours and modern practices.
In 2022, the Andrea Aprea Restaurant opens at the Luigi Rovati Foundation in Milan. This new project represents a turning point: the gastronomic memory of the Bel Paese merges with contemporary aesthetics. He thus receives two Michelin stars within a few years, confirming his constant evolution and commitment to excellence. In addition, Aprea started Caffè Bistrot, an informal space that celebrates the great classics in a relaxed setting.
Throughout his career, he has received numerous awards and accolades, including the Best Chef Award in 2018 and the title of Chef of the Year according to Food & Travel Italia in 2020.
