Two MICHELIN Stars at the prestigious “Seta” in Milan and one at "Talea" in Abu Dhabi, the talent of Antonio Guida, Chef of the Year 2016 for Identità Milano, is showcased in dishes that are a harmonious blend of tradition and innovation, taste and balance. But the chef's creations can also be enjoyed at his home, supporting the non-profit organization L’Abilità.

Antonio Guida was born in 1972 in Salento, where he grew up in the picturesque village of Tricase. His passion for food from a young age can be attributed to his mother, who used to organize Sunday lunches for at least a dozen people during his childhood. Antonio took care of the bread and condiments while his mother Michelina delighted in making fresh pasta and traditional dishes.

After graduating from culinary school, his culinary journey began. He started as a commis in 1998, traveling between Italy and France. After gaining experience at the renowned "Savoy" restaurant in Zurich, the young talent moved to France, where the celebrated chef Pierre Gagnaire recognized his potential for high-level cuisine. Subsequently, he distinguished himself in the kitchens of "Enoteca Pinchiorri" in Florence and "Don Alfonso" in Sant’Agata sui Due Golfi, along the picturesque Amalfi coast. He then spent two years at the "La Terrazza" of the "Hotel Eden" in Rome as a sous-chef.

The real breakthrough came in 2004 when he assumed the role of executive chef at the prestigious "Pellicano" in Porto Ercole, Monte Argentario. Here, he earned Two MICHELIN Stars by 2010, and his success further increased the following year with the attainment of Tre Forks in the renowned Gambero Rosso guide, a testament to the exceptional balance his creations bring to the table. His cuisine stands out for the clarity of flavors, the precision of his offerings, and the absence of excessive extravagance.

In 2015, a new chapter in his career began with the ambitious project of the restaurant "Seta" within the enchanting "Mandarin Oriental Hotel" in Milan. The coveted MICHELIN Star arrived promptly, crowning his efforts in December of that year, closely followed by a second Star in 2016. Antonio's talent continued to be recognized with a series of prestigious awards: he was named Chef of the Year at the 2016 Identità Milano congress, while "Seta" received the esteemed title of Best Wine and Spirits List from Identità Golose.

In March 2020, Antonio's gastronomic legacy found tangible expression in the book "La Cucina di Antonio Guida" (The Cuisine of Antonio Guida). However, the pinnacle was reached in 2022 when his restaurant "Talea" in Abu Dhabi was awarded a MICHELIN Star.

Nevertheless, Antonio's greatness extends beyond the kitchen, as seen through his commitment to the non-profit organization L’Abilità. Leveraging his culinary expertise, he hosts dinners at his home, with the permission and support of his wife Luciana and the assistance of the "Seta" team. These dinners accommodate 12 guests who, with a minimum direct donation of 500 euros, savor his dishes.
