Labasin Waterfalls is located inside a hotel complex, Villa Escudero Plantations and Resort, in Tiaong, Quezon Province, in a place surrounded by nature and about a two-hour drive from Manila. Even though it’s a hotel restaurant, anyone can come to have lunch here, whether they’re staying overnight or not.
You literally eat with your feet in the water, and the proximity to the waterfall makes for a fantastic experience; it’s great for taking a cool photos for social media, too. But, most importantly, what's on the menu? The restaurant currently serves only lunch, as a buffet, offering local food cooked with local Filippino influence.
The price is 28€ per person, between January and August, and about 19€ for the rest of the year. Main dishes include exotic fruits, barbecue chicken and local fish, usually served on banana leaves. The waterfall is artificial and comes from the Labasin Dam reservoir; the tables, on the other hand, are made of bamboo by local artisans.
Labasin Waterfalls is a must-go for any nature-loving traveler, best when combined with a couple-week stay in Manila. Getting there from Italy takes about 26 hours by plane, layover included, so if Labasin Waterfalls conquered your heart, better start planning your trip already.
