Born in 1989, he leads Abbruzzino Oltre in Lamezia Terme: five tables inside Palazzo Greco Stella where fine dining converses with art and design. A personal take on Calabria; the menu is an open space, the experience shaped in dialogue with the guest.
A chef’s son, he grew up in the family restaurant Abbruzzino (Catanzaro), MICHELIN Star since 2013: in 2012 he took the helm, confirming the star at 23. He trained in benchmark kitchens—Piazza Duomo, Osteria del Povero Diavolo, Uliassi, Torre del Saracino, Michel Bras Toya Japon, Le Grand Restaurant. In 2015 he was a S.Pellegrino Young Chef finalist and named Best Young Italian Chef 2016 by L’Espresso; in 2017 his cuisine appeared in the New York Times “52 Places to Go.” He writes from instinct, taste, and memory, positioning Calabria center stage.
In 2024/25 he opened Abbruzzino Oltre in the historic center of Lamezia Terme (Piazza Salvo d’Acquisto, 16): two rooms for just five tables, a salon for aperitif and desserts, gallery lighting, and rotating exhibits (works by Mario Merz, Giulio Paolini, Mimmo Paladino). The project inhabits Palazzo Greco Stella (late 1800s) and is set to expand—within the same building—into a bistro, an American bar, exhibition spaces, bookshop, craft ateliers, and rooms.
“Oltre” is a method: beyond the tasting path, beyond numbers, beyond the printed menu. The menu as open space: absence as possibility, the void as opportunity. Sequences are built at the table—listening to the guest—working with primary Calabrian produce, precise cooking, and a palette that ranges from raw to live fire, from vegetables to the sea. The intent is dynamic: calibrated salinity, measured acidity, and readable textures.
Abbruzzino Oltre is an open space where art, design, culture, and haute cuisine co-exist. Exhibitions rotate through the year; an essential mise en place leaves the gaze to the artworks while the kitchen sets the narrative rhythm. The experience flows between salon, galleries, and dining room, with passages designed for compression and release of flavor.
