Susanna Di Cosimo is an Italian chef and entrepreneur who has brought authentic Neapolitan pizza to the heart of India. Founder of the Da Susy pizza chain, she has gained international recognition for the quality and authenticity of her creations.
In 2011, Susanna Di Cosimo visited India for the first time, an experience that changed her life forever. Fascinated by the local culture and traditions, she decided to move there permanently in 2013, settling in New Delhi.
Initially, she set up a travel agency specialising in tailor-made itineraries for Italian tourists wishing to explore South Asia. However, the COVID-19 pandemic temporarily interrupted the travel business, prompting her to rediscover her passion for cooking. In 2020, she opened her first pizzeria, Da Susy, in Gurugram, with the aim of offering an authentic Neapolitan experience.
Her dedication and focus on quality ingredients quickly caught the public's attention, leading to the opening of other locations in Delhi. In 2023, the restaurant was included in the list of the 50 best pizzerias in the Asia-Pacific region, coming in at number 44, and was also awarded the title of Best Pizzeria in India.
In 2024, the pizzeria reached another milestone when it was ranked 86th in 50 Top Pizza's list of the 100 best pizzerias in the world.
