Born in 1967 in Cornaredo, Lombardy, Davide Oldani began his journey by following in the footsteps of his mother, an excellent cook. A youthful passion for soccer did not hinder his choice to dedicate himself to the kitchen, leading him to work with some of the most acclaimed chefs internationally, such as Gualtiero Marchesi, of whom he is considered one of the greatest pupils, Alain Ducasse, Pierre Hermé, and Albert Roux. Oldani's POP Cuisine philosophy aims to make haute cuisine accessible to everyone, using seasonal products to create dishes with an excellent balance of flavors and contrasts. His attention to detail, from the concept to the presentation of the dish, is reflected in the design of objects such as plates, cutlery, and elements that complete the dining experience, making it unique and memorable. Furthermore, in 2013, Oldani presented his entrepreneurial vision at the Harvard Business School, highlighting the success of his business model focused on efficiency, waste reduction, and sustainability. He received a Michelin star shortly after the opening of D'O, reaffirming his talent and innovation in the culinary field, and then achieved the milestone of two Michelin stars in 2020.
