From France to Brazil, building an exemplary career both as a chef and an entrepreneur, as evidenced by the numerous establishments Erick Jacquin has launched across Brazil.
Erick Jacquin was born in 1964 in a small town near the Loire Valley. After completing his studies at the Hotel School, he moved to Paris, where he had the opportunity to work in various prestigious restaurants, including the notable “Au Comte de Gascogne,” which he directed for a significant time.
In 1995, he landed in Brazil, taking on the role of chef at “Le Coq Hardy” in São Paulo. In this city, his culinary expertise earned him repeated nominations as chef of the year. December 1998 marked another milestone in his career: Erick was awarded the title of Maître Cuisinier de France, the highest honor in French gastronomy. This recognition made him the first French chef to receive such an honor in Brazil and all of South America.
His entrepreneurial vision took shape in 1999 with the opening of “Café Antique,” hailed as the best French restaurant of the year. This was followed by other successes, including “La Brasserie Erick Jacquin” in São Paulo and his involvement in events and conferences through his company, Erick Jacquin Événement. Since 2014, Jacquin has also made his mark on television as a judge on the program “MasterChef Brasil,” solidifying his media presence.
His entrepreneurial career further expanded with the opening of several restaurants, including “Duke Bistrot” in Campinas, “La Brasserie de La Mer” in Natal, “nui 360” in João Pessoa, and in São Paulo: “Le Bife”, “La Cocotte Bistrot”, “Président”, “Ça-va”, “Buteco do Jacquin”, and “Lvtetia”. This journey testifies to Jacquin's exceptional ability to combine culinary mastery with a keen entrepreneurial sense.
