Anthony Genovese is an internationally renowned chef, who began his professional training in France before moving to renowned restaurants in different parts of the world, earning prestigious accolades. In 2003, he opened "Il Pagliaccio" in Rome, which received Two MICHELIN Stars. In 2020, he introduced the concept of "Turnè," offering high-quality Asian cuisine for takeaway. In 2023, he also became a television personality with the show "Tutti insieme in cucina" (All Together in the Kitchen).

Anthony Genovese was born in 1968 in Paris to a Calabrian family that had emigrated abroad. For them food was a fundamental element due to his grandparents' professions as a cook and pastry chef. In 1985, he began his studies at the Ecole Hoteliére de Nice, where he started nurturing his passion for cooking. Subsequently, he worked in renowned restaurants around the world.

In 1986, he worked at the Two MICHELIN-Starred restaurant "Dominique Le Stanc" in Eze Village, and then moved to the One MICHELIN-Starred "Montecarlo Vista Palace" in Monaco, where he stayed for two years. He later worked at the Two MICHELIN-Starred "Auberge de la Belle Route" in Nice.

During the 1990s, Genovese moved away from France to further his professional training. In 1991, he worked at the Three MICHELIN-Starred restaurant "Enoteca Pinchiorri" in Florence. The following year, he moved to "Enoteca Pinchiorri" in Ginza-Tokyo, then returned to the Florence establishment. In 1994, he brought his talent to London, working at the "Regent Hotel" and later at "Toto's Restaurant." Two years later, he embraced new challenges in Malaysia at the "La Farfalla" restaurant in the Mandarin Resort-Penang hotel before returning to Europe. After working at the MICHELIN-Starred "Rossellinis" in the Palazzo Sasso hotel in Ravello in 1998, Genovese returned to France at the Three MICHELIN-Starred restaurant "Le Petite Nice" in Marseille.

In 2003, Anthony's professional career got to a turning point. Together with pastry chef Marion Lichtle, he opened his restaurant "Il Pagliaccio" in Rome. Over the years, the establishment garnered significant recognition. In 2006, it received its first MICHELIN Star, followed by a second three years later. Despite the acclaimed success of the restaurant, in 2013, it underwent a significant renovation to align the interior design with the elegance of the cuisine. In 2015, "Il Pagliaccio" became a member of the prestigious Relais & Châteaux association. In the following years, the public was increasingly drawn to Anthony's creative dishes, as he, with the help of his wife, found a balance between his professional and personal life. In 2017, he introduced the new gastronomic concept "Parallels," combining French and Oriental techniques, Italian ingredients, and international influences, creating a harmonious connection between the dining room and the kitchen.

In 2019, he underwent further transformation, bringing "Il Pagliaccio" back to its roots with the idea of a "circus of flavors" that had seen its inception 16 years earlier. The restaurant underwent an interior redesign and logo change while maintaining a menu of carefully balanced dishes. In 2020, amidst the pandemic, Anthony Genovese introduced a new dining format called "Turnè." It offered high-quality Asian cuisine for takeaway and home delivery throughout Rome, featuring exceptional ingredients. In 2023, Anthony Genovese made his debut in the television world with the show "Tutti insieme in cucina" on Real Time, sharing his passion and culinary talent with a broad audience.
