Maroš Dzurus is best known for his role as bar manager at Himkok in Oslo, Norway. Under his leadership, the bar has been recognized as one of the best in the world, reaching 10th place on the World's 50 Best Bars list in 2023.

Born in Slovakia, Maroš Dzurus developed a passion for the world of mixology at an early age. In Oslo, he became bar manager at Himkok, a bar known for its innovative combination of Nordic tradition and contemporary creativity.

The latter, founded in 2015, stands out for its in-house production of distillates and use of local ingredients. Under the direction of Dzurus, the bar has developed a menu that reflects Scandinavian culture and flavors: an emblematic example is the Multekrem cocktail, inspired by a Christmas dessert made with Arctic blackberries and whipped cream, capable of transporting guests to their childhood memories. Aquavit or Snaps, a typical drink made from the distillation of wheat and potatoes and flavored with various herbs and spices, including cumin and dill seeds, certainly cannot be missed behind the counter.

Maroš's dedication has contributed significantly to Himkok's success, and his close collaboration with the team has allowed him to explore new horizons in the production of custom spirits. Despite restrictions on the promotion of alcohol in Norway, the company has gained worldwide recognition for the excellence of its drinks and the experience it offers its customers. In 2023, the venue made a remarkable leap in the World's 50 Best Bars ranking, rising from 43rd to 10th place, earning the Nikka Highest Climber Award.
