Agostino Perrone is a leading figure in the international mixology scene. His career, marked by passion and dedication, has led him to run London's famous Connaught Bar, recognized as one of the best bar in the world.
Born in 1978 in Maslianico, a small town in the province of Como, Agostino Perrone started working as a bartender during his college years to finance his photography courses. This experience led him to discover a deep interest.
In 2003 he moved to London, one of the world capitals of the industry, to develop his skills. He explored Dusk in the Battersea district, where he honed his skills and developed a personal style. He later joined the team at Montgomery Place in Notting Hill, helping to elevate the venue.
In 2008, he took over the management of the Connaught Bar in the luxury hotel of the same name in Mayfair. Under his leadership, the bar underwent a significant transformation, including the introduction of trolley service: martinis are prepared directly at the table, offering guests a personalized and enchanting experience.
Agostino's vision and attention to detail earned the Connaught Bar numerous awards: in 2020, it was ranked 1st in The World's 50 Best Bars, then in 2024 the 13th position. Perrone himself will be honored with an Industry Icon award in 2022, by 50 Best Bars.
Bartender.it is the first italian online magazine dedicated to mixology, co-founded by Perrone with the aim of inspiring and supporting the Italian community; it also influences beyond the bar through collaborations with top brands, training sessions and participation in international events.
