Lorenzo Antinori is a talented mixologist who has taken his art to Hong Kong. The recently opened Bar Leone was ranked second on The World's 50 Best Bars 2024 list.
Born in Rome in 1987, Lorenzo Antinori embarked on a career path that took him from law school classrooms to the pinnacle of international mixology. Initially enrolled in law school with the ambition of becoming a sports agent, he soon realized that his true passion lay elsewhere. While in school, he began working part-time behind the counter, where an encounter with an elderly bartender who ordered a Perfect Manhattan every day sparked his interest.
Determined to pursue this new calling, he moved to London, one of the bartending capitals of the world. There, he worked in prestigious venues such as The American Bar at the Savoy Hotel and Dandelyan, where he honed his skills under the guidance of industry experts. In 2017, his career took an international turn with a move to Seoul, South Korea, where he took over as director of the Charles H. Bar at the Four Seasons Hotel, which gained significant recognition under his leadership.
He then moved to Hong Kong, where he helped relaunch Caprice and open Argo, both within the Four Seasons Hotel. These quickly achieved prominent positions.
In 2023, he realized his dream of striking out on his own and opened Bar Leone. Inspired by roman neighborhood bars, it offers a cozy atmosphere and a selection of cocktails that celebrate simplicity. In a short time, it topped the list of Asia's 50 Best Bars and was ranked second on The World's 50 Best Bars in 2024.
