World-renowned French chef Frédéric Anton is a master in the culinary arts, boasting three Michelin stars and the prestigious title of Meilleur Ouvrier de France. His career, which began in 1984, has made him a culinary icon, known for his refined and innovative aesthetic.

Biography

Born on October 15, 1964, in Nancy, Frédéric Anton embarked on his gastronomic journey in 1984, initially working with Gérard Veissiere at Capucin Gourmand in Nancy and then with Robert Bardot in Lille in 1986. His career took a decisive turn when, from 1988 to 1996, he collaborated with chef Joël Robuchon at Jamin and avenue Raymond Poincaré in Paris, becoming the head chef and honing his culinary skills.

In 1997, Anton took the helm of Le Pré Catelan restaurant, located in Bois de Boulogne in Paris. This restaurant, part of the Lenôtre group founded by the famous pastry chef Gaston Lenôtre, witnessed his culinary mastery being recognized with two Michelin stars in 1999 and a third star in 2007, at the age of 43. This success led him to receive the prestigious Meilleur Ouvrier de France title in 2000.

Anton played a significant role in training young chefs, serving as a mentor in the S.Pellegrino Young Chef 2018 competition. In the same year, he embarked on a new challenge, becoming the chef of the Le Jules Verne restaurant, located inside the Eiffel Tower. Here, he created a culinary experience that blends with the tower's iconic architecture, earning his first Michelin star in 2020, just six months after opening. This restaurant represents the culmination of his vision, where aesthetics and taste meet in perfect harmony.

Frédéric Anton is also the author of various cookbooks, sharing his philosophy and culinary style. His television career includes participation in shows like Comme un chef on RTBF in 2011 and Top Chef in 2019, demonstrating his versatility and impact in the culinary world. From 2010 to 2013, he was a judge on the French version of MasterChef.
