Marco Martini, a Michelin-starred chef in Rome, has transformed his passion for rugby into a brilliant culinary career. Beginning his journey in sports and landing in the kitchen, this young fine dining ace has managed to create a prominent dining format in the Capital.

Marco Martini, a renowned chef from Rome, embarked on a professional journey that took him from rugby fields to Michelin-starred kitchens, proving that the determination and sacrifice learned in sports can also translate into culinary success. These qualities drove him to pursue his true passion for gastronomy; a journey that began in Labico with Antonello Colonna and continued with international experiences alongside chefs like Heinz Beck and Tom Aikens.

Returning to Rome, Martini began to make his distinctive mark in the world of fine dining. He earned his first Michelin star at Open Colonna, followed by further accolades at Stazione di Posta and The Corner. The latter eventually evolved into the Marco Martini Restaurant, becoming a manifestation of his personal gourmet philosophy.

Today, Marco Martini Restaurant, located near the Pyramid of Caius Cestius and the romantic Orange Garden, offers a unique dining experience. Its covered terrace, styled in a simple yet elegant manner, reflects Martini's direct and authentic culinary style. The restaurant's menu is a journey through culture and avant-garde, with a special focus on sustainability and no-waste.

Martini's signature dishes include creative reinterpretations of Roman classics, like saltimbocca alla romana in the form of French toast, mortadella tortello with white pizza and pistachios, and turbot with potatoes and carbonara. His "Empathy" menu offers a unique gustatory experience, where Martini himself crafts ten bespoke courses for guests.

The chef is also known for his ability to evoke childhood memories through his desserts, like milk and mint, strawberries with cream and lemon, mixed with exotic flavors like white chocolate with EVO oil and matcha tea. The restaurant's cellar features an unconventional selection of wines and signature cocktails, perfectly paired with the dishes.
